INTERVIEW: Analytic Records

Analytic Records will respect the experience and commitment of the artists who have dedicated much of their lives to building the scene as we know it today. We will also be welcoming new talent. The door is open for everyone at Analytic Records. When we believe that a producer is delivering music of the highest quality, an individual's status within the scene will not matter, as long as their public profile displays the same commensurate label values. Passion and commitment mean more to us than popularity and click bait politics.

We have absolutely no desire to pigeonhole any particular genre or subgenre. We invite demonstrations based on the elements that give the scene the basis to grow, house and techno. We welcome everything that is well produced, when the sound of the chords resembles the roots of house music.

We have had the pleasure of speaking with them and this has been the result.

Hi guys, how has your day started? “With a coffee and a to do list Everyday needs to have purpose”.. When did you decide to create a label? “When we where looking at a portfolio of Audio Analysts productions that needed a home. Tracks we really believed in and had put a lot of time and effort into. We basically looked at each other and didn’t even have to speak. We knew this was the opportunity to start the label we’d spoken about launching for yeas”.. Did you get inspired by other labels? “There has been a number of labels over the years, Who have released music we both absolutely loved. But in terms of inspiration, the rollercoaster that Simon Dunmore has been through with Defected and the dedication he’s shown in Developing the label into the heavyweight it is today. Is absolutely brilliant. Total respect the man’s never say die attitude”. How would you define your sound? “We’re a very diverse melting pot as a label. Deep Chucky tech house grooves with a Minimal edge and a twist of acid is our first love. But then again we love deep soulful house, breaks and techno. We’re open to anything that is well produced and belongs in the underground electronic music scene”…

What do you want to convey with the latest release? “We want it to be a statement of intent. Something that represents everything we portray to be as a label. Quality production, established an up-and-coming artists releasing together. Setting the standard of what’s to come in the future. We believe the first Ep 7 Peaks delivers that and more”… What are your present and future projects? “We just plan to continue working hard on growing the label, delivering on everything we’d planned with every artist that kindly agreed to come onboard, and try our very best to nail down some venues to host a few label parties”… Do you have any final words of wisdom? “We wouldn’t class ourselves as wise man.. ha ha But we’ll leave you with a favour quote… ‘Some stand the test of time. While others dissolve’
