“Can I Music?” is a bold reintroduction of a veteran producer stepping into the unknown under a new mask: The Liquid Dude. Rather than revisiting the past, the album dissects it, renegotiating the raw DNA of electronic music with warped memories, broken structures, and an undercurrent of paranoid nostalgia.
The opener “Skip This” immediately signals that this isn't a comfort record—it’s a hallucinogenic collage of textural smears and modulated atmospherics that feel like tuning into a forgotten broadcast. “Nipponacidfunk” follows with a wild hybrid of twisted house, Japanese vocal fragments and screwy 303 lines that keep sliding sideways just when you expect them to resolve.
The middle of the album pushes deeper into the madness. “Shakyshaky” offers a pressure-cooker acid storm, while “Botox Love” goes fully unhinged with breakbeats, warped vocals and synth lines that refuse to stay on-grid. “Freaking Freaks” injects classic piano stabs into a modern club framework, and “Digital Dopamine” imagines electro as engineered by off-world intelligences.
Closing tracks “Indigestion” and “The Old Days” reveal a more introverted side—plunging basslines, melancholic chords, warm synths, spoken musings—like an artist looking back at a landscape they can’t fully recognize anymore.
The result is a fiercely original, emotionally unstable, beautifully broken record that reminds us how electronic music still has the power to confront, distort, and liberate.
