With “Hypnotic,” Pyrame and Semodi deliver an EP that transcends conventional dance music boundaries, transforming the club format into a canvas for psychological exploration. Released through THISBE Recordings, the project feels less like a set of tracks and more like a journey through the abstract spaces of the human mind.
At the core of the work is an investigation into imagination, inner dialogue, and identity. The presence of vocalist Maïlys, interpreting Pyrame’s narrative about mental landscapes and fantasy, elevates the music into a hybrid form—half sound installation, half dance ritual. Her voice operates as a guiding thread, pulling the listener deeper into the conceptual territory the duo charts.

Sonically, the original tracks play with absence as much as presence: minimalistic grooves, carefully placed synth lines, and rhythmic elements that breathe with organic restraint. The result is spacious, intentional, and profoundly hypnotic.
The remixes contribute new dimensions to the EP’s thematic universe. No Hopes emphasizes emotion through melody and motion, creating a bridge between introspective storytelling and melodic techno euphoria. Orchid’s Goa Mix injects spiritual intensity, transforming Mais Qui Es-Tu? into a trance-infused odyssey. Bruno Otranto, with his signature house sensibility, reimagines Hypnotic into a warmer, more dance-embracing form without losing its conceptual depth.
Available digitally and as a limited vinyl release, “Hypnotic” is the kind of EP that rewards full-side listening. It’s a compelling dialogue between narrative, rhythm, and imagination—one that leaves traces long after the last beat fades.
