In DV/RF, Kris Vango transforms grief into a cosmic cartography. Composed in 2024 while living with his father during his final months, the album’s nine fragmented EPs resonate with the quiet weight of farewell. Each piece echoes the distant dwarf planets of the Kuiper Belt — icy, remote, yet full of mythic depth. Vango binds these celestial bodies to the psyche, exploring the hidden corners where fear, memory, and transformation converge. Sound becomes a vessel for navigating the spaces between life and death, presence and absence. With past collaborations including Lyra Pamuk, Umi Dee, and Lopi, Vango pushes further into his own mythology, readying the final Makemake chapter for early 2026.
