A new chapter unfolds at Scotland’s most magical festival setting

Following the announcement of its first wave of artists earlier this year, the team behind Kelburn Garden Party share the second round of names set to appear at the inaugural Kelburn Jazz Weekend, taking place Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May 2026 on the stunning Kelburn Estate.

Expanding on a bill that already includes Gilles Peterson, corto.alto, Rebecca Vasmant and  newly crowned Scottish Album of the Year winners  Kai Reesu, the new additions highlight the energy driving the UK and international jazz scenes, as well as the importance of DJ and club culture in this evolution

Kicking off this next announcement is the closing Saturday night DJ set to follow Corto.alto from Alexander Nut b2b Shy One. Bringing together two of the UK’s most respected underground selectors, the pair draw from a wide spectrum of sounds including broken beat, jazz-influenced club music, hip-hop and UK dance culture. Between Nut’s work with Eglo Records, and Shy One’s essential NTS broadcasts, acclaimed productions and busy international schedule, this b2b promises a deep, exploratory journey through their shared musical worlds.

The Sunday headline performance is an exclusive, extended improvised dance set from Glasgow’s top experimental collective, Glitch 41. Organised by Corto.alto collaborator Mateusz Sobieski, their monthly events at the Rum Shack have become an essential meeting point for Glasgow’s new wave of jazz players and have birthed many exciting projects since lockdown - some of whom will be appearing at Kelburn throughout the weekend.

Also joining the bill on the Sunday is Coco Maria, the globally celebrated Mexican DJ and selector known for her uplifting blend of Afro-Latin rhythms, Brazilian grooves and sun-soaked rarities. A sound that has made her a favourite at NTS, Worldwide FM, Dekmantel, We Out Here and Berghain Panorama Bar.

Further new additions include Mama Terra, the Glasgow soul-jazz ensemble led by Marco Cafolla & Konrad Wiszniewski. Signed to the legendary Acid Jazz Records, the group have earned wide praise for their album The Summoned, alongside recent international appearances and a sold-out launch at Ronnie Scott’s.

ROSEYE bring their expressive, genre-blurring mix of jazz, nu-soul, funk, hip-hop and electronic influences. Led by Scottish frontwoman Tallulah Rose and based in Amsterdam, the band have made a fast rise across Europe with energetic performances at North Sea Jazz, Celtic Connections, Jazzahead, Kaunas Jazz and more.

Adding more homegrown talent, Azamiah join the lineup following the success of their debut album In Phases and new EP Two Lands. Fusing jazz foundations with dub textures, electronic flourishes and rich vocal arrangements, the Glasgow outfit are fast becoming one of the UK jazz scene’s most exciting new acts with recent headline appearances in London.

Closing out the event on Sunday night, globally respected DJs, production outfit and label, based in Edinburgh, Athens of The North. Who will take to the controls to deliver their signature blend of funk, soul, disco and house music, much of it released on their own label.

Other new additions include Fife-based hip-hop favourites Jazz Spastiks, Edinburgh groove-driven collective Slow Karma, rising selector Bessa, and French-born nu-soul vocalist GAÏA, a fast-rising figure in Glasgow’s new-jazz movement whose soulful, improvisational performances draw from R&B, neo-soul and grassroots collaboration. Chris Astrojazz, event curator and co-founder of Kelburn Garden Party, will also appear, spinning future electronic jazz sounds that reflect his boundary-pushing taste and long-standing role in shaping Kelburn’s sonic identity. Jasper K, a Glasgow-based DJ, producer and EHFM radio host with a passion for jazz-infused global music, joins the lineup too.

As the programme continues to take shape, Kelburn Jazz Weekend is fast defining itself as an essential new event in the Scottish calendar for both seasoned jazz heads and a new generation of clubbers and festival goers keen to immerse themselves in the exciting possibilities this music and culture presents.

Alongside the music, the weekend will also feature pop-up events, art installations and contemporary dining experiences. More details on these will be announced in the Spring. A range of camping and glamping options will be available on-site, offering guests the chance to fully settle into the atmosphere of the estate.

Whether you’re a dedicated follower of jazz or simply curious to discover some of the most exciting sounds shaping the genre today, Kelburn Jazz Weekend promises two days of discovery in one of Scotland’s most iconic festival locations. Further details  will be announced in the new year.

Tickets are on sale now here, starting at £65.00 + booking fee for day tickets and £95.00 + booking fee for weekend tickets. Earlybird ticket prices end in December.
