Sal Dulu shares new single ‘Full Metal’

Dublin-based producer Sal Dulu showcases his genre-blending mastery in his latest single, "Full Metal," a preview of his upcoming album Nafuchsia In Fantasy. Known for his ability to fluidly mix electronic, jazz, hip-hop, and ambient elements, Dulu pushes his creative boundaries once again with this experimental track.

"Full Metal" begins with a laid-back trip-hop beat that soon dissolves into a glitchy, unpredictable rhythm, setting the tone for the track's eclectic nature. Dreamy synth layers create an ethereal backdrop, while the spotlight shifts between fragmented saxophone samples and floating, soulful vocals. The result is a mesmerizing fusion of organic and digital sounds that pulls the listener into a dreamy, immersive soundscape.

The song carries personal significance for Dulu, as it was the first piece he composed after a surgery to repair his broken collarbone. The track’s fractured rhythms and subtle metallic textures seem to mirror his physical and emotional recovery, adding a deeper, introspective quality to the music.

With "Full Metal," Dulu demonstrates his magpie-like approach to music production, borrowing from various genres to create something fresh and forward-thinking. The track’s intricate details, from its glitchy transitions to its atmospheric textures, reveal Dulu’s knack for crafting soundscapes that are both complex and accessible.

As part of the highly anticipated Nafuchsia In Fantasy—set to release on November 15—"Full Metal" hints at an album that will continue to defy expectations. With previous singles like "Nafuchsia" and "Neri Eyes" already out, Dulu’s sophomore effort promises to be a bold step forward, blending his signature dreamlike quality with new layers of experimentation and sonic exploration.
