REVIEW: TIAL: Chapter 1

The Archer debuts on his new label, There Is A Light. Having released the project in January with his huge EP Lonely Dream, the Los Angeles-based DJ, producer and label director has been honing his A&R skills ever since, and now boasts a substantial catalog of top-notch releases. of some of the most exciting names. in the international circuit of house and techno.

Launched as a platform to champion some of the brightest international talents in electronic music, as well as being home to The Archer's own productions, label boss Arash Homampour (The Archer) has released a steady stream of incredible EPs. and forward-thinking throughout the course of 2021, welcoming an impressive array of high-impact producers, including Drunken Kong, D-Unity, Loco & Jam, Matt Sassari, Ron Costa, Stiv Hey and The Reactivitz, among others.

Now, as the Los Angeles-based frontman looks to round out 2021 in the same emphatic way he began, Homampour announces his label's final music package of the year with an impressive eleven-track compilation, titled TIAL Chapter 1.

Available now, TIAL Chapter 1 sees Homampour compile the best albums from the label's first-year catalog into one impressive compilation (see tracklist below), which is released alongside a 60-minute continuous mix for Soundcloud and a 25 minute exclusive 'minimix'. for YouTube.

This compilation, which closes the season, is a good example of the label's healthy progress, but above all, of its uncompromising potential. In addition, this selection maintains a narrative line that shows that his compositions are part of a process in which, thanks to the mastery of his compilers, it is easy to enter. Its rawness is nothing more than the arduous path towards purification of the spirit. We could almost say that that punk attitude that runs through each song no longer belongs to young people, since maturity can also be their golden age. For this reason, the best of the compilation is not so much what it contains, but what it promises: once the necessary balance is made, it is known that what has to come from Cold Beat Records in the future will be even better.
