M07 takes centre stage with his ‘SIGNAL’ Live Performance Film

Having fled from war with family after a decade in Kyiv, LA-born, now Spain-based live artist/producer M07 moves into full-on music production & performance with ‘SIGNAL’, a performance film of his original work and later, an associated EP. His ‘SIGNAL’ film premieres on 22^nd October at Koninklijk Theater Tuschinski from 7PM - 8:30PM (doors open at 6:30PM), as part of Amsterdam Dance Event’s Official Arts & Culture Program, including a Q&A with the artist and creative team. Next follows a European tour of theatres (Warsaw, London, Berlin, Madrid, Stockholm, Milan).The SIGNAL film brings together cinema, choreography, instrument design and club culture. Across eight original tracks, hardware-driven electronics, processed vocals, custom instrument design and choreographed movement collide in a performance exploring the tension between technological overload and human stillness. It was produced by Antiantiart, the Hanoi-based multidisciplinary collective behind Apple’s innovative 360-degree “Shot on iPhone” campaign. Co-founder Phuong Vu led the film’s creative direction, with Hoang Dang, Hai Tom and Pham Duy directing.

M07 is named for the highway connecting Kyiv and Warsaw, a road he had driven for years before it became a route out of Ukraine for those fleeing the full-scale invasion in 2022. Now based in Spain, his work remains shaped by his years in Kyiv. The music came before and never stopped: Los Angeles dance radio was playing his tracks while he was still in high school, and over the next twenty-five years he wrote around three hundred more, shared only with friends. His debut EP, KM0, arrived in February 2026.

In between, M07 successfully explored every side of the business except the stage: rave promoter in early-2000s Los Angeles (including producing what was then the West Coast’s largest drum-and-bass event, drawing around 5,000 people), talent buyer, booking agent, manager, software creator for the live music industry… Now, ‘SIGNAL’ is the culmination: darker, distorted, hardware-sourced, closer to what he was making in private all along.

The music for SIGNAL was produced by M07 and developed for live performance with music director Steven Weston at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in late June. Created for the cinema screen, the film was subsequently shot after dark across northern Vietnam, with performances staged inside an abandoned circus on an island in Ha Long Bay and a concrete shell apartment block near Hanoi, transformed by a monumental LED screen spanning four storeys. Additional scenes were filmed across urban Hanoi.

Cristiano Nicolini (Afterlife, Kevin Saunderson) designed the live system; M07 creative director Dmytro Nikolaienko (daynight studio, Muscut Records) shaped the project’s visual identity; and Julia Borelli mixed and mastered the music, it’s going to be something special, as newly emerging though long-established creative talent M07 moves into the fast lane.

M07’s SIGNAL premieres at Koninklijk Theater Tuschinski on 22 October 2026 during Amsterdam Dance Event. The seated screening will be followed by a Q&A with M07 and members of the creative team. A YouTube release will follow the planned European screenings.

There will be a single from the live performance dropping early October, and the full ‘SIGNAL’ EP is scheduled for early 2027.
