With the Echoes EP, Leandro Silva celebrates his debut release on the iconic Deep House label Plastic City – a label known for its timeless sound and genre-defining artists. Leandro developed a passion for music at an early age, crafting his first playlists by recording cassette tapes for friends. Growing up during the peak of Angola's sui generis African socialist revolutionary period, he was shaped by a vibrant and eclectic soundscape: Caribbean merengue, Antillean zouk, salsa, and traditional Angolan and African rhythms like kizomba, samba, and rebita. Though the environment was challenging and resources scarce, it was rich in creativity, culture, and sound — a foundation that still resonates in his productions today. Tracklist: 1. Echoes 2. Native
1. Echoes A deep, rolling groove layered with soft melodic pulses and shimmering textures. "Echoes" feels introspective and atmospheric, capturing the feeling of distant memories returning through sound. 2. Native Driven by an organic rhythm and subtle percussive layers, "Native" channels Leandro’s African influences with understated elegance. Warm, earthy, and rich with soul, it’s a track that moves both body and mind. This EP fuses Leandro’s deep musical roots with warm, hypnotic grooves and modern electronic aesthetics – a strong and soulful introduction to the Plastic City catalogue.
