NEWS: John Digweed & Nick Muir Enlist Jonathan Kaspar for Milestone Bedrock 200 Release

Helen Brown has been a disc jockey on the house music scene since 1993. Helen's sound is set in a decidedly eclectic atmosphere, with musical styles ranging from Electro Club, Tech House to Progressive mixed together in a modern and unique way so that the dance floor heats up as she gets to work.

Now she publishes “Lullaby”, with Dany T and Jason Davies, it is a serious, detailed work, which lends itself to starting it up and not returning to reality until it is finished.

We have had the pleasure of speaking with Helen and this has been the result.

What was the first thing that attracted you to the world of electronic music?

The sound.

Do you remember any album or concert that has changed everything?

Yes, in 2012 in Miami Beach, the Subliminal party… after hearing Eric Morillo… my whole style has changed. It will stay in my heart forever.

Since you got into this professionally, what did you miss the most nationally, internationally and on the contrary, what helped you the most to grow, even to believe in yourself? How is the music scene living in your city with this murky pandemic situation?

We are recovering of this bad situation but I think that after this dark period we can hope for a good recovery in the nightlife.People need to dance, they need to get together and this is great to grow your audience.

What are your favorite places to hang out in the city?

Take the sun on the beach, or a coffe on the square.. sinple things

Have you had time to focus on making music, spending time with your family, or planning future projects?

I try to do everything but in the summer with the tours it is very difficult.

How was your last project born?

Lullaby, is a great the Cure cover… a remix that brings us back to the sounds of this absolutely divine song.

What do you want to convey in this work? What is the concept behind? As for your studio, what is your setup currently made of? What's the one team you'll never get rid of, no matter what?

It's a work developed together with my friend and great DJ producer Dany T, sung by a dear friend of mine Jason Davies approaching this anthem to the deep house.

The hardware is managed by Dany, He is a freak of the electronic devices heheh My friends Dany T and Jason Davies is a dreamed team.

What would you say is the definition of your sound?

My sound is eclectic and is always evolving. I don't stop searching new sounds and I don't catalog my style. I only play what I like from Deep to Afro to tech house. In suitable contexts I like to propose melodic techno.

What was the last record store you visited and what did you get out there?

Discopiù at Rimini, I dont remember heheh Long time from this.
