With DAM001, dZb Advance Music Records—run by Paul Render, J Ballesteros, and Leopold Bär—makes its intentions clear from the very first cut to the closing track First Strike, bringing together artists such as Feisfois, JBLLSTRS, Leopold Bär, Franco Rossi, Paul Render, and Oscar Sanchez. The release functions as a clear statement of principles, rooted in functionality, tension, and dancefloor awareness.
Among the five vinyl cuts, mastered by Paul Render, Feisfois’ “Invasion” stands out as an exercise in sustained pressure and absolute control. The track moves forward without haste, anchored by a dense, repetitive groove that embeds itself into the body with surgical insistence. There are no obvious peaks or narrative concessions here—minimal progression and accumulated tension are in command. Dry percussion and restrained low-end generate a hypnotic state, designed for long sessions and dark rooms. Every element is reduced to its essence, yet placed with clear and functional intent. “Invasion” doesn’t aim to surprise, but to gradually dominate the space. This is techno of endurance—head down, ears open.
The sound design avoids any decorative gestures, opting instead for repetition and physical presence. It works especially well at high volume, where the nuances gain real weight. The mix reinforces a sense of constant forward push without sacrificing clarity or depth.
The project’s DJ-centric approach is unmistakable—music built to trust the dancefloor, not the screen.
