Bimini Remixes Anastacia’s Mighty Hit ‘Left Outside Alone’ Out on Relentless Records on July 4th

Bimini’s meteoric DJ/producer career since RuPaul’s Drag Race gains a prestigious accolade and broadens their genre and audience spectrum, with their ‘Diva Boots’ remix of Anastacia’s massive hit (196mil Spotify streams to date) ‘Left Outside Alone’ out on Relentless Records, July 4th.

Bimini’s latest wins: the remix follows ‘Keep On Dancing’, their track with ABSOLUTE. and its subsequent remix by I JORDAN, winning top level support from BBC Radio 1 inc. Sarah Story, Arielle Free, Danny Howard, DJ Mag, Mixmag… as well as a recent Loud & Proud mix on 6 Music for Pride month, a Rolling Stone feature, and an ongoing EU & Canada tour (dates below) including selling out Sub Club, and a hectic week at Glastonbury (Arcadia Bug & Scissors DJ sets, live performance at NYC Downlow, and a Guardian interview). 

All that follows supporting Confidence Man at their BRITS after party, a Mixmag ‘The Mix’ feature, Beatport ‘Radar’pick, plays on KALTBLUT, Noctis, SiriusXM, Foundation FM (regular show), Reprezent…

It’s been the go-to closing track in my sets, it goes off every single time. I first met Anastacia at the Metro Pride Awards and she was absolutely incredible. We got chatting after she publicly showed her support for the LGBTQI+ community, especially trans people, and I decided to be a bit cheeky and ask if I could remix the track. SHE AGREED.’

‘Left Outside Alone’ (Bimini Diva Boots Remix): Anastacia’s heartbroken cri de coeur, with its rock guitar chords, power ballad lyrics & vocals, gets a megavolt electro charge from Bimini. Starting with melodic synth, soon the sometimes layered vocal comes in fast, over a buzzy, more ballsy beat and percussion, retaining Anastacia’s strong soulful voice as breakdowns and adding a threatening hint of revenge using a dark guitar theme alongside lyrics like ‘maybe you should know, just how it feels, to be left outside alone…’

‘I used to dance around my mum’s living room to the original on CD as a kid, so getting to rework it now is such a surreal, full-circle moment. I’m so proud of how it’s turned out. It’s emotional, powerful, and made for every single dancefloor on the planet. It’s also a little note to my trans family. The lyrics feel poignant with what is happening culturally. Nobody should feel alone and I want that message spread to every trans person that is feeling the weight of what is happening right now. There are a lot of people that love and support you and we will get through this time!’

If anyone’s left outside alone, it most certainly won’t be Bimini.
