An interview with Luca Belluco

Welcome to our interview with an accomplished DJ and producer, boasting 14 years of experience in the music industry. With a portfolio that includes collaborations with renowned labels like Trippy Code and OURGRND, this artist has mastered mixing techniques across various equipment. Notably, in 2024, they founded the "No Request Festival" in Paris, supported by industry giants such as Tale of Us and Kevin de Vries. Their passion for music is evident in their ability to seamlessly blend genres like Techno and Melodic Techno. We are excited to delve into their journey, vision, and future aspirations in the music world.

Experience Overview: With your extensive experience as a DJ and producer, what are some of the key lessons you’ve learned along the way?

Luca Belluco : Many DJs tend to show off and envy those who follow them, but I'm not like that. It's important to stay humble and stay in one's lane!

Diverse Label Signings: Working with labels like Trippy Code and OURGRND, how do you maintain your unique sound while also adapting to different label expectations?

Luca Belluco : You need to understand what the labels want, listen to the tracks they sign, and work on your own sound to differentiate yourself. Productivity and creativity are key; taking breaks outside can refresh you—when you return, you'll be more alert, productive, and creative than before.

Mixing and Trends: How do you balance staying true to your style while incorporating current musical trends and new genres into your performances?

Luca Belluco : I try to listen to new tracks, stay updated on current trends, explore new themes, or simply go outside to let creativity take over.

For example, you could blend Techno with Jazz 😁

No Request Festival: Can you describe the process of founding the "No Request Festival" and what you envision for its future?

Luca Belluco : The No Request Festival was created among DJ friends with the goal of establishing an inclusive festival that blends various music genres without taking requests from attendees.

As for its future, we aim to grow the festival to the level of events like Tomorrowland (ambitious, I know...).

Support Network: How has the support from high-profile artists like Kevin de Vries and Cassian influenced your music and opportunities in the industry?

Luca Belluco : They don't support me directly, but rather the labels where I've signed.

Vision for the Future: What are your long-term goals in the music industry, and how do you plan to achieve them through your new agency and beyond?

Luca Belluco : My long-term goals in the music industry are to continue developing my career as a DJ and producer, expanding my audience, and exploring new creative horizons. Through my new agency, I plan to focus on growing my stage presence and releasing new music productions that captivate and inspire my audience. I also aim to collaborate with talented artists and participate in renowned international events to expand my influence and share my passion for electronic music.
