With Alles, Kalipo proves that reinvention can arrive at the peak of maturity. Known for his work with Frittenbude and Dina Summer, the producer has always operated in the liminal space between raw club culture and poetic songwriting. His fifth solo album carries the weight of those experiences while daring to sound like a new beginning.
The self-described Psychedelic Disco Punk aesthetic translates into tracks full of contradictions: they are rough yet tender, political yet personal, nocturnal yet radiant. The title song embodies this duality—its dark disco foundations slowly unravel into shimmering layers of light, echoing both inner turmoil and hope. Elsewhere, Geister merges spectral guitars with laconic vocals, while Crimson Rain thrives on vintage drum textures that feel both retro and futuristic.
What makes Alles so compelling is its refusal to choose between vulnerability and strength. Kalipo sings more openly than ever, transforming inner conflict into catharsis. The result is an album that feels less like a product of Berlin’s club culture and more like its poetic mirror.
