REVIEW: ADAM PITS - PISTON PUMP

Hailing from Leeds, Adam Pits has established a propellant, solar sound; combining break, techno and deep trance to shape and define his own unique productions, all at once club friendly and well suited for listening at home.

His work receives the support of established players like Subb-ann, Call Super, Roza Terenzi or Ciel, managing to blow up the dance floors with his productions. He is now back again, and he does so to debut on X-Kalay as one of the most talked about new producers circulating in the UK.

On this EP, Adam offering a sinuous collection of mantras cast in light, silver dust, and darkness. This last reference consolidates the trajectory of a producer who does not lack notable virtues. Its cosmic sound makes us go beyond the limits of musical and metaphysical genres, leading us to a unique place. Additionally, the mysterious Magicwire artist Bliss Inc. contributes a remix on the flip and reworks the Pits title track, Piston Pump in a rush hour trancey trancey.

All these themes come together, until they combine an album as experimental as intense and addictive, which takes over oneself like a sweet poison, while progressively transporting us, as few producers with a certain fluidity are willing to do, condensing two ideas that seemed that we were no longer going to recover: future and permanence.
